A Strathalbyn based car dealer says the demand for collectable cars is ‘unbelievable’ right now.
Ben Finniss of Collectable Classics says he’s been in the business for 30 years and has never seen such demand.
He’s recently just purchased another property near his business in Rankine Street to enable more expansion.
Ben recently sold a sold a 1985 VK Group A SS Commodore for more than $250 000 and had a 1976 LX SS Torana Hatchback available for $129 999.
Other cars listed on their website include a 1973 Holden Belmont Ute at $32 999 and a 19879 XF Falcon S Pack for $14 999 and a 1981 Datsun Stanza for $12 900.
On the recently sold page of the site there’s a gold 1974 HZ Kingswood with a price tag of $49 999.
The same model a certain journalist’s mum traded in for a pittance in the 1990s.
