Hills Softball Association Under 14 Mixed (Strathalbyn v Hahndorf)

Hahndorf batted first and had safe hits to Kimberley Jones, Elisha Liebelt and Janaya Liebelt with Hayden Bunn getting a two baser and Kaiden Martin hitting a home run which all helped to bring in the full seven runs with Strath’s pitcher/catcher combo of Eva Eglitis to Sam Baker working hard to get a K2 as the only out for the innings. Strath’s first turn at bat gained some walks and with great base stealing Eglitis made it home but then two K2’s and an out at home by Hahndorf ended the innings.

Another seven runs were made by Hahndorf in the second and included home runs to Bunn and Martin with another K2 to Strath the only out. Hits to Eglitis, Tallera Spinks and Lincoln Strange as well as some well earned walks to Scarlett Finn, Imogen Baker, S. Baker and Kodi Goodwin helped to bring home the full seven runs for Strath with Hahndorf making an out at home and an out at first.

The third dig for Hahndorf brought in a new pitcher/catcher combo of Spinks to Tayah Thornton, who was catching for the first time and they worked well together but with some hits, walks and great base running Hahndorf brought home four runs before time and game were called with scores reverting back to the end of the second innings with Hahndorf 14 to Strathalbyn 8.
