CFS volunteers have responded to a fire, which has destroyed two old cottages on a property on Victor Harbor Road at Hindmarsh Valley.
Firefighters on two CFS trucks and a Bulk Water Carrier, supported by a further two MFS trucks, were called to the incident at 5:30pm on Monday 6 May and worked to contain the fire to the cottages within 45 minutes of their arrival.
The stone cottages are not the owner’s primary residence, and no one was injured in the fire.
Firefighters remained on scene for several hours, extinguishing the fire and putting out any hot spots. SA Police and SA Ambulance Service are in attendance.
Total losses are estimated to be approximately $130,000 and Fire Investigators are yet to determine the cause.
