CFS firefighters on approximately 3 trucks have saved the majority of a house in Meadows, after a fire started in a bedroom at the back of the building.
Firefighters were able to enter the property and work from within to keep the fire in the bedroom. The estimated damage amount is $100,000 with the room a complete loss and smoke impact extending to other areas of the house.
No one was home when the fire started. A resident returned to the property at approximately 9am and called emergency services after finding the smoke and fire alarms activated. No injuries have been recorded at this time.
SA Police and SA Ambulance were on scene supporting firefighters. Fire Investigators are attending.
