An excellent crowd of almost 500 were treated to a great day of racing at the opening meeting of the Strathalbyn Racing Club's season on Wednesday.
The fields were strong with nine races and over 108 horses nominated. Encouragingly the track held up very well following the winter break. Sacred Walk trained by Marilyn Smith and ridden by Jason 'Stubby' Holder had the honour of taking out the first race of the new season at Strathalbyn.
The club is looking forward to their next meeting on Wednesday October 23.
