SummerVines returns to the ValeSummerVines festival is coming this January.

The iconic view of McLaren Vale’s lush vines running down to 30km of breathtaking Gulf of St Vincent coast is one of SA’s most loved.

This January the wine region welcomes wine enthusiasts, foodies, sun lovers and voyagers to the 2024 SummerVines food and wine festival, celebrating the profound influence the region’s unique coastal location has in its bright and contemporary wines, vibrant foodie culture, and warm, welcoming community.

The festival returns to the region this summer with a ten-day program of wine and food experiences across multiple locations.

Supported by the South Australian Tourism Commission, SummerVines kicks off with an exclusive launch event hosted by the McLaren Vale Grape, Wine & Tourism Association on Friday 12 January at the Silver Sands Beach Club, the Young Gun of Wine’s 2023 Wineslinger Maverick award winner.

A regional program of events and experiences will follow from 19–28 January as the region welcomes the Santos Tour Down Under Men’s Stage 5 on Saturday 20 January.

Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison says it is wonderful to welcome back SummerVines to McLaren Vale in the peak summer season.

“SummerVines is a fantastic addition to our packed calendar of events this summer, offering visitors a chance to soak up the food and wine the region is so well known for – all against the stunning backdrop of the Fleurieu Peninsula,” she says.

“I am proud to support SummerVines through our Regional Event Fund, which helps grow a variety of events across the state that motivate visitors to commit to a trip, linger longer in our regions, and make South Australia a must visit events destination all year round.”

Tickets to all events are available here.
