Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a Christie Downs unit late last night.

Just after 10pm on Monday 11 October, police and fire crews were called to Nadia Crescent after reports of a unit on fire.

When police arrived the unit was well alight. Neighbours to adjoining units were quickly evacuated from their homes.

Fire crew took about half an hour to extinguish the flames however it caused significant damage to the unit and smoke damage to the adjoining units.

Fortunately the occupant was not home at the time and there were no reports of injuries.
