The City of Victor Harbor is preparing a mountain bike strategy to guide and plan for the future development and activation of a network of trails in the district.
The aim is to connect the proposed trail network to the broader Fleurieu area.
Residents and visitors who appreciate the natural and diverse landscape of the region are invited to contribute to the strategy.
The topography within the district varies considerably, incorporating both sweeping hills and valleys as well as flat shorelines where coastal townships adjoin.
The council recognises the significant recreational potential of this distinctive landscape and strives to identify how the topography could be developed to nurture mountain bike riders and enthusiasts.
Although there are some unofficial trails being used by visitors and residents in the region, there are currently no designated mountain bike trails within the Victor Harbor area.
Get involved and have your say through a dedicated survey that covers general community use of trails through to specific mountain biking questions.
The council wants to hear from those who mountain bike, those who don't and those who would like to mountain bike in the future.
You can complete the online survey at Your Say Victor Harbor. Or you can collect a
hardcopy feedback form from the Civic Centre on 1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor.
The survey will close at 5pm on Thursday 1 April.
