McLaren Vale’s exclusive Beresford House will host a wine dinner in a feature event of the Tasting Australia winter series.
The event offers a unique opportunity as the space is not usually available to the public.
The dinner is a collaboration between chefs Kane Pollard of Topiary and Tom Tilbury of Press Food and Wine, highlighting locally foraged wild ingredients.
The Tasting Australia Winter Series will run throughout the month of July with a curated selection of events across Adelaide and regional South Australia highlighting the state’s producers, produce and places.
Tourism Minister Zoe Bettison says following the success of the autumn festival it’s great to get behind another event that champions the people and produce of South Australia.
“With the colder weather approaching, it is fabulous to have another delicious instalment of Tasting Australia events to further boost South Australia’s world-class hospitality industry.
“Events such as this really solidifies the State’s position as the go-to destination for food and beverage in Australia.”
The Salopian Inn’s Karena Armstrong is festival co-director.
“Both the chefs and guests at this year’s Tasting Australia were delighted with the outcomes of the autumn festival,” she says.
“With such demand from venues, talent and patrons we knew we had to bring back the festival’s second Winter Series and shine a light on the produce, producers and food and beverage stories waiting to be told in South Australia.”
