A section of Inman Valley Road will be closed for around six weeks from Monday 24 October, weather permitting.
The temporary closure will enable the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) to upgrade the culvert adjacent to the junction with Hurrel Road, west of Inman Valley.
During the closure period, a temporary detour will be in place, with local access to be maintained at all times.
DIT has asked road users to plan ahead, expect delays, allow extra travel time and take extra care when workers are on site.
It will upgrade a series of bridges and culverts across the state to improve safety for road users.
