Three teenagers have been arrested after assaulting a shop worker at Seaford.

It will be alleged that about 10.05pm on Sunday 24 December, three teenage girls entered a service station on Shearer Drive and stole items from the shop.

One of the girls assaulted a male staff member as the trio tried to flee the scene.

The man was not seriously injured.

Patrols were quickly on scene and located the suspects nearby.

A 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl from Old Noarlunga, along with a 13-year-old girl from Christies Beach were charged with numerous offences including assault, theft and breach of bail.

They were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
