Alexandrina Libraries will host local authors Captain Rod Lovell, Kym Watson and Peter Strawhan on Thursday 26 August.

They will share their stories, inspiration and creativity at the Goolwa library, in Cadell Street, from 4pm to 7pm.

Captain Rod Lovell is first up at 4pm, talking about his book From Hero to Zero.

It details the highs and lows of his career as a pilot and how he battled suspension after ditching his DC-3 to save lives.

He will be followed at 5pm by the author of Spirit of Pearl and the Man Upstairs, Kym Watson.

Health scares inspired Kym to write an autobiography for his grandchildren, which turned into a trilogy.

The final speaker will be Sandwriter Peter Strawhan at 6pm on what he says is his book, Flights of Fancy.
