Three times around the block for south coast youth

SA Youth Week will be celebrated on the south coast with block parties over three days from Friday 11 April to Monday 14 April.


There will be three nights of gaming, creativity, and self-expression for young people aged 12 to 19.


The fun kicks off with an E-sports Party at Encounter Community Centre in Victor Harbor on Friday 11 April.


Compete in a range of Nintendo Switch E-Sports tournaments, including Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.


On Saturday 12 April Gamer’s Delight at Mount Compass Memorial Hall will feature an escape room, Dungeons and Dragons, Theatresports workshops and spray painting.


The final event,  Who Am I?, is at Goolwa's Centenary Hall on Monday 14 April focuses on self-expression and identity.


Activities include workshops on portrait photography and journal making, with badge making, a clothes swap and a make-up and dress up station for a Selfie Wall.


These are lock-in style, supervised, drug and alcohol-free events that offer free food and drinks.


They are supported by Alexandrina Council and partners with a grant from Human Services SA. Tickets are free but must be booked via Humanitix.
