November kicks off with a weekend of fun for the young folks on the south coast.
It starts with the Youth Showcase Extravaganza on Friday 1 November at Centenary Hall in Goolwa, where the amazing talents of young locals will be on display.
The event includes performances from the Wet Paint Youth Theatre Ensemble and a selection of short films produced by young local filmmakers as part of the Show Us Ya Shorts Youth Film Festival.
It will be a great night for the whole family, with live music, dramatic and comedy performances, free popcorn and drinks, door prizes and a fun quiz.
An initiative of the Southern Youth Advisory Committee, the event runs from 7pm to 9.30pm and entry is by gold coin donation.
The Wet Paint Youth Theatre Ensemble is a theatre group for young people, aged 12-24, who attend workshops on Mondays from 4.30pm to 6pm at Centenary Hall.
Saturday 2 November will see the Halloween Boo Night Disco at Victor Harbor Town Hall in Coral Street. The disco is for young people aged 12-18 years and will run from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
It will be a night filled with Halloween-themed fun, where young people can dress up, dance, catch up and have a fantastic night, with prizes for the scariest, funniest and most imaginative costumes.
Free face painting, refreshments, giveaways and great music will be on offer at this lock-in event, so parents must drop off and pick up children at the door.
It is an alcohol and drug free event for the young people of the Southern Fleurieu. Entry fee is $5 with tickets available at the door.
