Community groups and not-for-profit organisations looking for help to fund a local project within the Yankalilla region can apply for a council grant.

The District Council Yankalilla 2025-26 Community Grants Program aims to support projects that strengthen the community, boost community well-being, increase participation in social and leisure activities and respond to local needs and issues.

Applications are now open and will close on Tuesday 30 September.

The council has allocated $7,500 for the financial year, with the maximum available for any individual project limited to $1,500.

A grant assessment panel will consider all applications during October and will make recommendations for determination at the November council meeting.

Successful and unsuccessful grant applicants are advised in December, with certificates presented at the Australia Day ceremony in January.
