All Fleurieu councils have reminded residents that dog and cat registrations are due by 31 August.

Dog and cat registration renewal notices were sent to pet owners across the region on 1 July.

All dog and cat registrations, including those for breeders, are managed through Dogs and Cats Online (DACO), a one-stop online service for annual registration payments. 

DACO is also the place to log pets’ microchip numbers and de-sexing details.

Pet owners can complete their renewals online, or those that don’t have internet access can pay at their council office.

All dog and cat owners have a responsibility to comply with South Australian Dog and Cat Management laws. 

This includes compulsory de-sexing, microchipping and registering pets on the Dogs and Cats Online platform.
