The weather may still be very changeable but snake season has nevertheless arrived, so now is good time to learn more about them.
Snake expert Peter Mirtschin, a toxinologist and conservationist who has written over 70 papers on snakes and their ecology, will lead a workshop on Thursday 24 November in Victor Harbor.
He will share his knowledge about local snakes and the uses of venom and also bust some snake myths.
“It is that time of the year that our slithery friends are on the move.
“They don't want to harm you but sometimes get scared when cornered, confronted or pets try to get too close and/or pushy.
The free snake workshop will be held at Carrickalinga House from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Light refreshments will be provided; book a place via Eventbrite.
This event is supported by Green Adelaide.
