The Grapes of Mirth is coming to McLaren Vale to bring some much-needed comic relief.
The six hour long outdoor comedy event will be held from 12pm on Sunday 13 December at Lloyd Brothers Wine in Warners Road.
Merrick Watts, Tom Ballard, Geraldine Hickey (star of Rosehaven), Nazeem Hussain (of Help, I’m a Celebrity fame), Lizzy Hoo, David Woodhead and DJ Pedro Moshman are all set to entertain.
“We are very COVID compliant,” says comedian and organiser, Merrick Watts. “We’re not making pizzas.”
He describes the line up as diverse. “We try to pick different styles and different performers to offer a really good snapshot,” he told ABC Radio Adelaide. “Particularly people who might not get over for the Fringe but who are great performers in other states.”
Merrick recently took part in the TV show SAS Australia and intends to draw some laughs about his time on the brutal reality program. He broke two ribs but described the experience as life-changing.
Visit the Grapes of Mirth website for more information and ticketing.
Tickets are restricted to people aged 18 and over.
