Finniss MP David Basham has congratulated Investigator College student Will Fitton, who is Finniss Schools Dux of 2024 with an ATAR of 96.45.
“It will be an honour to host Will and his guests to a traditional congratulatory dinner at Parliament house in the new year.”
In his electorate of Finniss, Mr Basham says four schools had students eagerly waiting for final SACE results on 8.30am Monday 16 December.
“This score seems to be a culmination of student life but really the success lies in students achieving their pathway opportunity, which may be university, apprenticeship or employment and starting the next phase of life.
“I was delighted to hear about the fantastic achievements by the class of 2024 and congratulations go to each and every student for their hard work and successes.”

Mr Basham says although Will found the year quite difficult, he is excited by the results and is looking forward to studying engineering.
“He achieved what he wanted to and is grateful for the excellent support from teachers and family that enabled him to stay focussed.
“In the last few weeks, I’ve attended school award ceremonies across the electorate, and it’s been great to see students succeed in various subjects – a big congratulations to the students who completed their schooling this year.
“The ATAR results are just one part of our young people’s journey, and I wish all graduating students of 2024 the very best for the future.”
