Top tips on networking for women in businessIt was a big attendance at the latest Women in Business Regional Network lunch at the Smiling Samoyed Brewery in Myponga.

Networking tips proved a popular subject when the Women in Business Regional Network held its latest lunch at the Smiling Samoyed Brewery in Myponga.

Almost 30 women from across the Fleurieu, southern suburbs and even Adelaide metropolitan area gathered to hear Nan Berrett of Word Solutions in the Clare Valley

provide advice on how she built her successful business purely through networking.

As well as encouraging women to work on an elevator pitch, and to follow up promptly with people they meet, Nan provides tips on how to network amid the challenges of the pandemic and on interacting online rather than in person.

She warns about the risks of having all networking and contacts via social media, leaving a business at risk if networks went down or changed policies.

An email list that is backed up regularly, is essential for any business.

This was the last McLaren Vale/Southern Suburbs chapter function for 2021 and planning is underway for events in 2022.

The Women in Business Regional Network is open to business owners, managers, staff and those dreaming of owning their own business.

You don’t have to be a member to attend events, but bookings are essential via Eventbrite.

For more information about the Women in Business Regional Network visit the website or phone Carolyn on 0435 432 203.
