The City of Victor Harbor and Santos Tour Down Under have announced a Live Site: Encounter Bay at the Victor Harbor Hockey Club grounds on Tour Down Under day, Friday 24
January 2025.
From 12pm to 5pm, the club grounds will transform into a community gathering space filled with activities for all ages.
Spectators will have the unique opportunity to watch cyclists as they pass through the George Main Road roundabout at approximately 2pm and 3pm, just steps away from the club grounds.
A big screen will broadcast the entire race, ensuring no one misses the action.
Mayor Dr Moira Jenkins says the Santos Tour Down Under is always a highlight for Victor Harbor, bringing the community together and showcasing the region to visitors.
“Live Site: Encounter Bay is the perfect way for families and friends to immerse themselves in the excitement of the race while enjoying fantastic local food, entertainment, and a safe, family-friendly atmosphere.”

The fully fenced grounds of the Hockey Club provide a safe environment for families, with marshals on- site to guide attendees for safe roadside viewing. The markets are also a fundraiser for the Encounter Centre, adding a meaningful cause to the fun.
Parking will be available at Investigator College and adjacent to the Hockey Club grounds on the day.
