Traffic flood warning and Police report

Localised flooding and water over the road has been reported on Inman Valley Road, Inman Valley as well as on the Victor Harbor Road at Mount Compass, particularly on the Adelaide side.


Motorists are urged to take extra care while driving through the area.


Two men in Magna wagon seen near arson


Serious and Organised Crime Detectives investigating an arson at a Port Noarlunga restaurant in June want to speak to two men in a Mitsubishi Magna seen at Christies Beach that night.



A mid-1980s two-tone blue and silver Mitsubishi Magna station wagon (similar to the one pictured) was seen parked facing west on Beach Road, Christies Beach, just outside the post office, about 3.15am on Wednesday 22 June.

Two men were attending to items in the vehicle before driving west towards the beach.

Detectives would like to speak to these two men.

About 3.50am that morning, police and fire crews responded to an arson attack on a Saltfleet Street, Port Noarlunga restaurant.


The flames were extinguished by MFS crews before any major damage could occur.

CCTV footage revealed two people had started the fire.

Hills-Fleurieu Police are disappointed that the actions of a few are potentially impacting the safety of the community, with drivers caught under the influence of alcohol.


About 12.30am on Friday 19 August, police stopped a 33-year-old man from Second Valley for a mobile driver test.  The man submitted to a breath test where he provided a positive result of 0.115.  He also had his young son in the vehicle with him at the time. The man was reported for drink driving and breaching his provisional licence and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.


Just after 2am on Saturday 20 August on Mawson Road at Meadows, police stopped a 19-year-old man from Strathalbyn. The driver recorded a breath analysis of 0.147.  He as reported for drink driving and speeding.  He was issued an immediate loss of licence and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.


About 8.40pm on the same day, police stopped a 38-year-old driver from McLaren Vale. He submitted to a breath test and recorded a positive result of 0.093.  He was issued a six month immediate loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
