Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner Gary Smith will give a demonstration at the Victor Harbor library on Tuesday 1 February.
The ancient Chinese tradition involves a series of slow, focused movements performed while breathing deeply.
The self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching keeps the body in constant flowing motion.
Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi can help reduce stress and anxiety while increasing flexibility and balance.
The free Come and Try activity will be held on the grassy area outside the library at 10.30am.
Registration is essential, via Eventbrite; participants should be sun safe and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
