In the last days of daylight saving Tatachilla Lutheran College in McLaren Vale will host its Twilight Food Affair next Friday 22 March.

The school says it expects the community event to attract a crowd of more than 5000 people.

It will showcase some of the best food and wine from the Fleurieu region and there will be carnival rides, sideshow entertainment, live music and fireworks.

Cuisines from Italy, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, India and Vietnam will feature, as well as bush burgers, spinning spuds, hot cinnamon donuts and fairy floss. 

Adults can enjoy the pop-up bar, offering local brews and wines.

Tatachilla's Twilight Food Affair has a history of celebrating local produce and local people dating back almost two decades.

The event will run from 4.30pm to 9pm and is open to everybody.
