Two teens arrested in Seaford Meadows

Two teens have been arrested after breaking into cars in Seaford Meadows early this morning.


Just after 2.15am on Friday 13 January police were called to Matelot Street after a member of the public noticed someone trying to break into his car.


Patrols flooded the area and caught three teens red handed breaking into a car on Gladstone Road. The teens ran off, two were apprehended close by and the third managed to get away.


Patrols discovered another three cars had been broken into and items stolen.  All items have been returned to the owners. Anyone who wakes this morning and discovers their car broken into please call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 to make a report.


A 17-year-old boy from Kilburn and a 14-year-old boy from Devon Park were charged with illegal interference of a motor vehicle and providing false details to police.


The 17-year-old has been refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Magistrates Court today. The 14-year-old has been bailed to appear in Adelaide Youth Court on 30 March.


Investigations are continuing to locate the third suspect.
