Two of the Fleurieu’s most beautiful gardens will be open to the public next weekend as part of the Open Gardens SA spring program.
Doole Garden at 95 Montarra Road in Dinglablebadinga near Willunga will be open on Saturday and Sunday, 13 and 14 November, from 10am to 4.30pm, with the owners supporting the Returned Services League.
With over 200 roses now blooming the garden is looking at its best and has been an 18-year labour of love.
Etre, in Delaney Avenue in nearby Willunga will be open on Sunday only from 10am to 4.30pm.
Created by landscape designer and sculptor Evette Sunset, Etre is described by Open Gardens SA asm, “a trail of surprises and secluded destinations inspired by a combination of wild Eyre Peninsula beachscapes, Japanese stroll gardens and the outdoor living of Balinese courtyards”.
It also features a rooftop strawberry garden, numerous fruit and nut trees.
Evette will host a walk and talk around the garden at 10am and 2pm and light lunches and teas will be available.
Etre will support the Bassett Street Neighbourhood Group.
Open Gardens SA is a not-for-profit organisation of garden lovers. Members receive discounted entry to open gardens and early bird access to special events.
