Two youths were arrested for allegedly lighting fires at McCracken Saturday afternoon.
Police and fire crews responded to reports of two fires, a small fire in a reserve and another in a paddock, near Riverway Court, McCracken about 3.30pm on Saturday 6 March.
Grass was burnt but no properties were threatened or damaged, thanks to the quick response of local fire crews to extinguish the fires before they could spread.
Acting swiftly on information obtained from witnesses, police arrested and charged two 11-year-old girls with lighting the fires. The girls will be dealt with by the Juvenile Justice System.
