Expect the unexpected in Port Noarlunga this month as the SUE Festival kicks off on Sunday 6 October.
Series of Unexpected Events (SUE) is a City of Onkaparinga festival curated by artistic director Paul Gazzola and OSCA - Open Space Contemporary Arts.
It is a biennial festival of temporary art and performance that will take place across three Sundays in October in and around the foreshore area of Port Noarlunga.
This year’s version of SUE will see 20 local, national and international artists creating a series of unexpected performing art installations within the cultural precinct of Port Noarlunga.
SUE will expose how contemporary forms of artistic expression can add another creative dimension to celebrate the diversity of culture, community and geography of the area.
It encourages individuals, groups and communities, including children and young people, to engage in artistic experiences outside more traditional forms of public art.
If you're interested in being involved further, check out the pre-event workshops on offer.
The SUE festival is on Sunday 6, 13 and 20 October from 12noon to 4pm.
So anyone visiting Port Noarlunga for a pleasant Sunday afternoon should expect to enjoy colour and movement in delightfully unexpected ways.
