Temporary traffic restrictions on Communication Road, Tatachilla, will start from Sunday 4 June as part of the Main South Road duplication project.

Works will be required at the intersection of Communication Road and Main South Road to continue the intersection upgrade by installing new road pavement. 

Barriers will be installed on Sunday 4 June, between 7pm and 7am. They will facilitate full closure of the intersection for four weeks from 7am Monday 5 June to Friday 30 June 2023, weather permitting.

The works will include barrier installation, trenching, services work, placement of granular pavement and general construction work.   

Fleurieu Connections Alliance (FCA) says access to properties will be maintained throughout the works wherever possible, with advance notice provided if there is a need to temporarily restrict driveway access. 

It asks drivers to take extra care when workers are on site; observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area. 

FCA advises that the works may incur noise and light disturbance, but it will minimise disturbance to nearby residents and businesses as much as practically possible.
