The death of a woman whose body was found following a house fire at Aldinga Beach has been declared a Major Crime as detectives seek further information from the public.

A 48-year-old Aldinga Beach man was arrested by detectives on Saturday night, 21 October, and faced court today, Monday 23 October, charged with her murder and arson.

Emergency services responded to reports of a house fire in Barracoota Crescent, Aldinga Beach just before 3.30pm on Friday 20 October.

Police are also appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything in the vicinity of the Barracoota Crescent home between those times, including any dashcam or CCTV
