A woman has died following a crash at Hayborough yesterday (Sunday 22nd September).

Police were called to the intersection of Ocean Road and Port Elliot Road just after 4.30pm on Sunday 22 September after a Toyota van hit a tree.

Sadly, a 59-year-old woman from Davoren Park who was a wheelchair passenger in the van died in the crash.

The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Northfield and front passenger a 30-year-old woman from Croydon Park, were both taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The southern end of Ocean Road was closed as police and Major Crash Investigators examined the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The woman’s death is the 60th life lost on SA roads this year.
