A man has died after a crash at Noarlunga Downs.

About 9.40pm last night (Tuesday 17 October), police and emergency services were called to Barcelona Road after reports of a collision between a Mitsubishi station wagon and a motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a 46-year-old man from Port Willunga died at the scene.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances of the collision.

The driver of the station wagon, a 51-year-old woman was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The road was closed for a period of time whilst Major Crash officers investigated the scene; however the roads have since re opened.

The man’s death is the 92nd life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 57 at the same time last year. This is the 18th motorcyclist killed on our road this year compared to 9 for the entire 2022 year.
