An elderly man is in hospital following a crash at Currency Creek today.

Just after 12.30pm, Wednesday 15 March, patrols and emergency services were called to Myrtlegrove Road, after a Nissan SUV left the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver and sole occupant, a 75-year-old local man, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with non-life threatening injuries and a routine blood test.

Myrtegrove Road was closed in both directions but has since reopened to all traffic.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
