Three adults and two teenagers are being treated in hospital following a head-on crash at Middleton this morning.
Just after 7.30am on Friday 29 January, emergency services crews were called to Airport Road after a Toyota utility and Nissan SUV collided head-on, near the intersection of Flagstaff Hill Road.
A total of five people from both vehicles were injured in the crash.
The driver of the Nissan, a 50-year-old man, and a 50-year-old woman both from Victoria, along with the driver of the Toyota, a 22-year-old woman from Strathalbyn, were all airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious injuries.
Two teenage girls aged 15 and 13 from Victoria, who were passengers in the Nissan, were transported to the local South Coast Hospital, but have since been transferred to the Women's and Children's Hospital in serious condition.
None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.
