Police continue to investigate a serious crash at Port Elliot late this afternoon.
Just before 6pm, Monday 27 March, patrols and emergency services were called to Port Elliot Road near the entrance to the Basham Beach Conservation Park, after a Nissan utility and a Nissan SUV crashed.
The driver of the SUV, a 58-year-old man from Encounter Bay, was airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious but non-life threatening in juries.
The driver of the utility, a 29-year-old man from Goolwa was taken to Victor Harbor Hospital with minor injuries.
Port Elliot Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened to all traffic.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.

The two car crash occurred on Port Elliot Road, just before 8pm on Monday 27 March.
Port Elliot Road, near the Basham Beach Conservation Reserve access road, has been closed to all traffic.
