Registrations are now open for the VACSWIM children’s water, swim and surf safety programs at numerous locations across the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island this summer.

Various local beaches and swimming pools will host the 2020 programs, with the majority to be held from Thursday 2 to Friday 10 January, although dates may vary from site to site.

On the Mid Coast and Fleurieu, residents and holidaymakers can book their children in for VACSWIM at Aldinga Beach, Christies Beach, Moana, Normanville Beach, Port Elliot and Port Noarlunga.

The Fleurieu Aquatic Centre, located at Hayborough near Victor Harbor, Noarlunga Leisure Centre and Strathalbyn Pool will also have programs available for those not so keen on the beach-based lessons.

On Kangaroo Island, there are programs available at Emu Bay, Penneshaw and Vivonne Bay.

VACSWIM programs aim to teach primary school-aged children water awareness, safety, confidence and skills.

Enrolments are now open. They close at 5pm on Monday 16 December.
