Victor Harbor High School and Eastern Fleurieu R-12 will host COVID-19 vaccine clinics, in a bid to lift vaccination rates ahead of the planned opening of state borders on 23 November.
SA Health data shows that South Australia has the second lowest vaccination rate in the country for children aged 12 -15.
The State Government has announced that 54 schools across the state will become hubs with vaccines available for students, parents and siblings.
It hopes that 34 000 students will be vaccinated before the end of the school term on 17 December.
The schools will communicate directly with families to let them know when the clinics will run.
The State Government announced last week that as of 23 November people who are double vaccinated will be able to travel into South Australia from all other states without needing to quarantine. International travellers will have their quarantine time cut from 14 to 7 days.
Its data forecasts that 80 per cent of the South Australian population aged over 16 will have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine by that date.
Premier Stephen Marshall says that once 90 per cent of the population aged 12 and over have received two doses other restrictions will be removed, including any need for vaccinated international travellers to quarantine on arrival into the state
