Alexandrina Council’s award winning Village Conversations program will resume in October, opening a dialogue with communities across the region.
Eight sessions have been scheduled between Wednesday 18 October and Thursday 7 December to discuss what matter most in each community.
The council will share its achievement and future plans, taking on board local priorities.
It says these community conversations help to develop its annual budgets and action plans and will further shape the place-based Village Innovation Plans for each township.
The informal Village Conversations are designed to be family-friendly, with everyone welcome to drop in any time between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.
They can call in for a quick chat and a cuppa or stay for an in depth presentation on topics relevant to each town.
There will be a sausage sizzle on offer, with the opportunity to connect with the council and the local community.
The 2021 Village Conversations program took out an award from the Planning Institute of Australia for demonstrating excellence for Stakeholder Engagement.
