The space informally referred to as the Village Green was created following the District Council of Yankalilla’s purchase of the old Normanville Petrol Station. 

Creation of the open space at 81-83 Andrew Avenue, Normanville was considered temporary until the council determined the permanent usage of the site.

Due to popular demand of the use of the site as open space, the council has decided it is timely to ask the question if the open space should be made permanent or if an alternative usage should be considered? 

It is seeking community feedback on the future of the site and suggestions for a proper name for the site.
