Lovers of Italy can celebrate Italian literature and film with Anna Henwood at the Aldinga library.
Read the English translation of a classic Italian novel one month and watch the film adaptation the next. No knowledge of Italian is required, just a passion for literature, film and all things Italian.
The next Viva Italia book club session will be at 10am on Saturday 26 March, where readers will enjoy the book Novecento by Alessandro Baricco. Then on Saturday 23 April the movie The Legend of 1900 will screen.
The book The Girl in the Fog, by Donato Carrisi, will feature on Saturday 21 May followed by a screening of the movie version of the book on Saturday 9 July 9.
Anna Henwood is an educator with experience in classroom settings in locations across Australia and overseas.
She is also a trained musician and following her completion of music studies in Australia, her passion drove her to study flute at the Italian Flute Academy in Rome.
Anna’s love for the Italian language, film, books, music and education are what enable her to bring creative insights and inspiration to this unique book-film club.
The book and movie events are free to attend but reservations must be made via Eventbrite.
