Pygmy Possums Playgroup will hold an information session on Saturday 16 January to assess the level of interest in establishing a Waldorf school on the south coast.

Titled Education for a Changing World, it will include an introduction to Waldorf/Steiner education and a discussion on the south coast Waldorf initiative.

In the words of Waldorf originator Rudolf Steiner:

“The heart of the Waldorf method is the conviction that education is an art – it must speak to the child’s experience.

“To educate the whole child, the heart and will must be reached as well as the mind.” 

The key speakers will be the chair of the Adelaide Steiner Education Association, Mark Malloy, and experienced Waldorf educator Michelle Martin.

The seminar will be held at the Port Elliot RSL Hall, The Strand, from 12noon to 2pm.
