Alexandrina Council has issued a warning about an unauthorised South Australian Wooden Boat Festival page. 

The Facebook group is not affiliated with the council's SA Wooden Boat Festival or its community committee. 

The authorised page features the 2025 Festival Poster, created by local graphic designer Lara Simpson.

This unaffiliated group has no local connection and the council and the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival Committee are warning the community not to provide personal information, buy tickets nor register boats via the unauthorised page. 

The iconic South Australian Wooden Boast Festival  is a biennial event that in 2025 will be held on 26 and 27 April.

It will showcase the historic Goolwa wharf and celebrate river boating history and traditions and the Murray River.
