Aboriginal artist and basket weaver Micky Barlow will lead a workshop at Willunga Library on Thursday 20 April.
Learn how to create a basket, using a variety of mediums, including raffia, natural fibres and grasses,
Participants will leave with either a completed object or with a project to finish at home.
A Kokatha woman, Aboriginal contemporary artist and basket weaver, Micky Barlow works from her studio space in McLaren Vale.
She uses traditional dot work in her paintings, incorporating symbols and colours passed down from her grandmother and mother.
Her works include acrylics on canvas and wood burning on timber, as well as basket weaving.
The workshop is for adults and is free to attend, but bookings via Onkaparinga Libraries are essential. It will run from 2pm to 4pm.
