Weekend traffic report

Fleurieu police had a busy weekend on our roads catching the following drink and drug drivers over the weekend.


About 2am on Saturday 22 January police were on Parker Avenue Strathalbyn when they stopped a 32-year-old local man driving a ute. Police breath tested the man who allegedly returned a positive result of 0.161. He was issued with a 12 month loss of licence and reported drink driving.  He will appear in court at a later date.


At 10.10am Saturday 22 January police stopped a 31-year-old man from Macclesfield driving a Holden sedan on Stamps Road Macclesfield. Police drug tested the man who allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine. His sample will be sent to FSSA for further analysis.


About 5pm on Sunday 23 January on police were called to Porter Street in Goolwa police after a car crashed into a parked car. Police breath tested the driver, a 59-year-old woman who allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.187. She was reported for drink driving and lost her licence for 12 months. Her car was impounded for 28 days and she will appear in court at a later date.
