Western Districts and Kingscote play out the first draw in the KIFL

Reigning premier Western Districts played out a thrilling draw against Kingscote during round nine action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) at Gosse on Saturday. The final scores were 9.7 (61) apiece. Jordan Connell (3) and skipper Paul Green (2) were the multiple goalkickers for Kingscote. Western Districts skipper Lleyton Hedges kicked three goals, while Josh Graham kicked two goals. Best players for Kingscote were Lachlan Summers, Frank Colman, Zak Siemer, Tyson Holman and Joshua Ingall. Best for the Saints were Nathan Stock, Tate Barrett, Bradley Crabb, Wade Tucker and Dylan Lockett.


Wisanger moved up to second spot on the ladder following their comfortable 40-point win at home against Parndana. The Panthers led at every change before winning 11.9 (75) to 5.5 (35). Sam Clifford (4) and Nick Shurven (2) were the multiple goalkickers for Wisanger, while Parndana had five individual goalkickers. Best players for Wisanger included Dusty Cross, Jason Fryar, Nick Shurven, Liam Sampson and Jordan Ackland. The Roosters were best served by Bailey Gaskin, Zach Trethewey, Frank May, Bailey Mashford and Will Stanton.


Kingscote had the bye.
