Western Districts finish their minor round in style in Kangaroo Island Football

Minor premier Western Districts wrapped up their minor round campaign with a comfortable 71-point win against Kingscote during round 14 action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) on Saturday. The Saints led by eight points at quarter time, 31 points at halftime, and 39 points at the last change, before winning 10.14 (74) to 0.3 (3). Tate Barrett, Peter Hoban, Cameron Florance, Tim Larcombe and Caleb Whittle were named best for Western Districts, while Lloyd Coulson kicked four goals. Best for Kingscote were Zak Siemer, Paul Green, Riley Puckridge, Charles Schmidt and Frank Colman. 


Wisanger won their eighth game of the season after defeating Dudley United by a whopping 185 points at Penneshaw on Saturday. The Panthers had 10 different goalkickers with Sam Clifford leading the way with 10 goals. Jackson Lockett chimed in with eight majors, and Nick Shurven kicked six, as Wisanger put up a ‘cricket score’ of 34.23 (227) to Dudley United 6.6 (42). Clayton Willson kicked three goals for the Eagles. Best players for Wisanger were Luke Shurven, Dusty Cross, Brok Viney-Obst, Lockett and Jai Turner.


Parndana had the bye.
