Reigning premier Western Districts remained undefeated after defeating Parndana by 70 points during round eight action in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) yesterday in Parndana. The Saints triumphed 12.12 (84) to 2.2 (14). Western Districts’ skipper Lleyton Hedges kicked six goals, while Jordan Whittle kicked two majors. James Davis and Colton Trethewey kicked the Roosters two goals. Parndana’s best players were Ben Gaskin, Jack Sexton, Colton Trethewey, Eli Kuchel and Frank May.
Wisanger kept the pressure on for a top-two spot with a 43-point win against Dudley United at Penneshaw. The final scores were Wisanger 12.11 (83) to Dudley United 5.10 (40). Sam Clifford and Jackson Lockett kicked three goals apiece for Wisanger. Best players for the Panthers included Dusty Cross, Jason Fryar, Jai Turner, Nick Berry and Jordan Ackland. Dudley United were best served by Clayton Willson, Sam McLeay, Kyrrell Barton, Nathan Dickson and Brody Florance.
Kingscote had the bye.
