Western Districts won their second premiership in a row after a convincing 106-point win over Wisanger in the Kangaroo Island Football League (KIFL) Grand Final at Kingscote on Saturday. The Saints have now won 28 games in a row in completing two undefeated premiership seasons. On Saturday, Western Districts led by 30 points at halftime, before kicking a further 13 goals to one to win 21.10 (136) to 4.6 (30). Brad Crabb was named best on ground for Western Districts, winning the John Turner medal, with six goals, while Lleyton Hedges (5), Jordan Whittle (4) and Oscar Morgan (3) were the other multiple goalkickers. Joining Crabb in the best players for Western Districts were Josh Graham, Dylan Lockett, Morgan and Sam Jonas.
In the other grades, Dudley United defeated Wisanger by seven points to win the Reserves premiership, Western Districts won the under 15 colts premiership with a 14-point win over Parndana, while Wisanger won the under 12’s flag with a two-point victory over Kingscote.
