The Myponga Reservoir is at 96% capacity after above average rainfall was recorded across the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island in July.
At the same time last year, the reservoir was at 88% capacity.
Rainwater tanks and dams are brimming over in Parawa, where a whopping 181.6mm fell during the month, compared to the July average of 124mm.
Kangaroo Island also recorded good rain falls with 151.6mm at Cape Borda and 112.4 at Kingscote.
The wet weather in June and July came as a relief to many farmers and residents after a drier than average autumn was recorded in most places in South Australia.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a 60-70% chance that the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island will also exceed average rainfall totals in August, September and October.
It's also been a pretty windy winter, with Cape Willoughby on Kangaroo Island recording a record 109 km/h wind gust on June 24.
