The southern half of Hackham is being developed to become a master-planned community offering up to 2000 new homes. 

The developer has proposed a name change to Onkaparinga Heights and the community has the opportunity to have a say.

Part of the suburb boundary of Hackham with Hepenstal Road would be realiged, with the name Onkaparinga Heights assigned to the area south of Hepenstal Road.

The public consultation period will run until Thursday 19 January.
